What does the Tomatis® assessment involve?
The Tomatis® Method is an auditory therapy that supports communication, focus and emotional regulation. The assessment evaluates auditory attention and lateralisation, that is, the way the brain processes sound.
Based on the result we design an individual training programme. We use the method with children and adults, including with ADHD, autism and difficulties with concentration.

What it is
Assessment of auditory attention and lateralisation before training.
Who it is for
Children and adults with difficulties in attention, speech and communication.
How it works
An auditory test, a consultation and choosing the programme.
What does the Tomatis® assessment check?
The assessment is the starting point of the whole therapy. It shows how the ear and brain work together to receive sound and lets us design a programme tailored to the individual.
- auditory attention, that is active listening to sound
- auditory lateralisation and the leading ear
- discrimination of pitch and sound frequencies
- responses to sound and any auditory hypersensitivity
- areas that need strengthening in auditory training
- a reference point for later measurement of progress
