What does Tomatis® training involve?
The Tomatis® Method is an auditory therapy developed by Dr Alfred Tomatis. Using specially processed sound, it stimulates auditory attention, supporting communication and focus.
We deliver the programme in blocks, most often 14-day ones, using special headphones. We use it with ADHD, autism and learning difficulties, among others.

What it is
Auditory attention training through processed sound.
Who it is for
Children and adults with difficulties in attention, speech and emotions.
How it works
Assessment, a programme in blocks and progress monitoring.
What does Tomatis® training give?
The method was developed by the French physician and researcher Alfred Tomatis, who showed that the way we hear affects emotional, social and cognitive development. By training the ear and the brain, we work on several areas at once.
Focus and attention
Better sound processing translates into longer focus and less distraction.
Motor coordination
Stimulating the right brain areas supports balance and smoothness of movement.
Confidence
Easier communication builds comfort in relationships and a sense of agency.
Communication
Training the speech-processing areas supports communication, verbal and non-verbal.
How do we run Tomatis® therapy?
The programme is always individual and monitored. We adjust it to the person's responses and progress.
Individual assessment
We evaluate auditory attention and lateralisation to identify areas to strengthen.
Listening programme
We build sessions of music with transformed frequencies, tailored to the needs.
Regular sessions
Listening through special headphones in blocks, most often 14-day ones.
Progress monitoring
We observe responses and results and modify the programme for the best effect.
Who does the Tomatis® Method help?
It works for people of all ages, with a range of needs. We recommend it for, among others:
- developmental conditions such as autism and ADHD
- developmental delays and learning difficulties
- dyslexia, dysgraphia and dysorthography
- difficulties with speech and communication
- reduced concentration and auditory attention
- tension, stress and difficulties with emotional regulation in adults
