How we plan therapy for patients who travel
Many of our patients travel a similar distance. Diagnostic assessments - ADOS-2, ADI-R, ACIA or Conners 3 - usually take up to 3 appointments, so the journey is not an obstacle. We then plan therapy differently than for residents of Tczew: less often but more intensively, with clearly defined work to be done at home between visits.
The Tomatis Method is based on a 14-day programme with equipment lent for home use. With the Warnke Method part of the exercises is done independently on the Brain Boy device, and psychological consultations are also available online, at PLN 100. In this model two visits a month are usually sufficient.
What to know before your visit
We do not make a medical diagnosis - a diagnosis of autism or ADHD is made by a medical specialist. We carry out assessments with certified instruments and issue a written report, which gives the doctor a basis to work from. We also do not issue a statement of special educational needs: only a state psychological and pedagogical counselling centre can issue that document, and no private centre, ours included, has such powers.
