Our practice is in Tczew, not in Sopot

We see patients at ul. Gdańska 8c in Tczew, above the DOZ pharmacy. From Sopot the simplest option is the train - services run without a change, and the practice is a few minutes' walk from Tczew station.

Therapy despite the distance

Formats with fewer visits

Worth travelling for assessments, harder for therapy

At this distance two things need to be separated honestly. Diagnostic assessments - ADOS-2, ADI-R, ACIA or Conners 3 - usually take up to 3 appointments, so the journey is manageable and many of our patients do exactly that. Therapy with weekly sessions at this distance rarely holds up over time, and we will not pretend otherwise.

That is why we suggest formats with few visits: the Tomatis Method with equipment loaned for the 14-day programme, the Warnke Method with home practice on the Brain Boy device, and online psychological consultations for PLN 100. If you are looking for weekly therapy, it is more honest to find it closer to home.

What we do not promise

We do not make a medical diagnosis - a diagnosis of autism or ADHD is made by a medical specialist. We carry out assessments with certified instruments and issue a written report, which gives the doctor a basis to work from. We also do not issue a statement of special educational needs: only a state psychological and pedagogical counselling centre can issue that document, and no private centre, ours included, has such powers.

We explain how this works in practice on our page Will a counselling centre accept a private assessment report.

FAQ

Questions from patients in Sopot

Cannot find your answer? Call us - we will gladly clear up any doubts.

Do you have a practice in Sopot?

No. We see patients in Tczew, ul. Gdańska 8c - approx. 45 km from Sopot. Trains run directly and the journey takes about 40-55 minutes.

Is it worth travelling 45 km for an assessment?

That depends on waiting times in the Tricity. The assessments take up to 3 appointments, so the journey can be justified; we do not recommend weekly therapy at this distance.

Which therapies make sense when travelling from Sopot?

Those that need few visits: the Tomatis Method with equipment loaned for 14 days, the Warnke Method with home practice, and online consultations for PLN 100.

How much do the assessments cost and is a referral needed?

No referral is needed. ADOS-2 costs PLN 650, ADI-R PLN 450, ACIA PLN 500, and an initial consultation PLN 150. We issue the written report within 21 working days.

Will a report from Tczew be accepted by our counselling centre and school?

Yes. Our reports are recognised by psychological and pedagogical counselling centres and medical specialists. The statement of special educational needs itself can only be issued by the state counselling centre for your place of residence.
