Speech that opens up the world
Speech is the foundation of development, relationships and learning. At BELMED® we treat every child as an individual and build therapy around their strengths and real needs, in a calm, friendly atmosphere that supports learning.
We precede assessment and therapy with a detailed interview and tailor the plan to the pace of development and the goals. We work with children and adults, including people after strokes, combining proven methods with modern techniques that stimulate the brain's neuroplasticity.
Neurologopedist and speech therapist, what's the difference?
Both specialisations support speech and communication, but from slightly different angles. At BELMED® you have access to both, matched to the needs of a child or an adult.
Neurologopedist
Assesses and treats speech and language disorders linked to how the brain and nervous system work. Therapy stimulates neuroplasticity and supports communication, including after neurological damage.

- Delayed speech with a neurological basis
- Communication difficulties in the autism spectrum
- Feeding and swallowing disorders
Speech therapist

- Articulation disorders and incorrect pronunciation
- Delayed speech development
- Specific language impairment (SLI)
- Difficulties with reading and writing
Signs worth not ignoring
The sooner we act, the more effective therapy is. Contact us if you notice that your child:
- speaks less than peers or started speaking later
- is hard to understand or mixes up sounds
- breathes through the mouth or positions the tongue incorrectly
- stutters or stumbles while speaking
- struggles to build sentences and understand instructions
- has trouble biting, chewing or swallowing
